About

Over 70 years of support for farmers in Manitoba.

The National Farmers Union – Manitoba (NFU-MB) advocates for farm families, local communities and against unbalanced corporate control of food. Our roots in Manitoba go back to the 1930’s when the United Farmers of Manitoba was formed. In 1969 the links between provinces were formalized to create the National Farmers Union, recognizing that there is strength in union. Farmers want a cohesive voice on all levels – local, provincial, national and international.  NFU-MB chapter continues to promote vibrant rural communities, cooperative initiatives, the production of safe, wholesome food and biodiverse natural ecosystems. We believe that agriculture should be economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable
